More Like a Peaceful Thursday Drive:)

Ok, so usually my hubs doesn't have Sundays off, so we took a peaceful Thursday drive on one of the last days that all the leaves were still attached to their trees. We took our pup Gigi to the lake on Ft. Bragg. We all had so much fun! Seriously, what is more beautiful than time spent with my husband on a clear day???

This was a good time for a break; I was car sick and needed to feel the ground under my feet:(

Yes, this beautiful scene is in Southern Pines:)

More to come tomorrow - of the pup playing in the cold water!

Last of the Fall Photos?

Feels like Autumn is gone - even if we have an actual month before it is officially over. Once Thanksgiving is over, and my brother-in-law flips the switch on the Christmas lights that completely cover their house, even the leaves on the ground can't make it seem like Fall anymore.

While looking over my Fall photos, I found a few days worth that I want to share with ya'll:)

These are at the Malcolm Blue Farm that I did the Avery family photos at...

The Kushner's:)

Love this family! They're so easy-going and fun to work with! Last time, I did Ethan's photos, because he turned 1 in October! A week ago I got to do the whole family's photos! So adorable - I love how they make each other laugh and smile :)

And they make me crack up too! I LOVE Ethan's expression here! Probably not the most picturesque, but hilarious!

Photography Throwback! *** Last Day ***

This is it! My last entry of my first FULL week! Be proud, because it takes more time than you'd think! Of course, I'm happy to do it:) I'd LOVE for everyone to leave a comment and let me know what you think. Are my entries worth reading? Do you enjoy them? Is there anything you'd change? Let me know!

This statue has been in downtown Cary as long as I can remember...so neat!

We were walking to our final destination and I just happened to look up and see this beautiful tree...

Another close up of something I wouldn't normally get.

I got several photos of the bees busy at work, but this isn't the one I posted before. I think this one is kind of neat with the contrast of the stones in the background.

This was our final destination - where we met up with the other photographers. They had excellent food:)

As I finish up this week, I just want to praise the Lord for many things: giving me a good eye to see many beautiful things, letting me see the beautiful things as signs that He is ever present in my daily life, and the time I got to spend with my Dad and sister, I truly treasure that day - Photowalk 2010!

Photography Throwback! *** Day 4 ***

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I skipped posting yesterday, because I was busy cooking and then spending time with my family:)

I'd have to guess that I am not the only girl that is obsessed with wedding dresses. I don't know what it is, but it may have gotten worse after I bought mine. I can't watch "Say Yes to the Dress" on TLC, because I'll never get to be that glamorous again:( But I did have to go into this bridal salon - I couldn't resist! I also couldn't resist posting these, because I think they all turned out so well!

I disappeared into the store without my Dad or sister seeing where I went...I came out probably 10 minutes later, but they didn't seem to have missed me!

Yep, I just sat down in the middle of their floor with my sweaty self, but they were great about it and even made sure that the dresses looked neat on the hangers.

Gorgeous!!!

Photography Throwback! *** Day 3 ***

These are all miscellaneous photos of things that I think of when I think of Cary. Again, I love the photowalk, because when else do you have the permit to walk around with your camera and not look like a fool?? So this was a great opportunity for us!

Proud of my action shot!

I've always thought this service station was neat. We never went to it, but I do think of it as a one of the things that has stayed the same in downtown Cary.

And the service station has always housed neat old cars. I tried to get a cool photo, but this is as good as it gets.

The church I grew up in:)

If you're from the area, I'm sure you recognize this house. I've always loved it, and have actually toured when it was a hosting house for The Tour of Homes at Christmas time several years ago.

This is in the side yard of the pink house. Love the quaint feeling this area creates.

Photography Throwback! *** Day 2 ***

Day 2 ~ Choo Choo! Yes, I'm a certified dork! Anyway, once we left the Page Walker Hotel, we headed over to the railroad station where people were waiting to be picked up...

We figured we had enough time...and when else would we have the opportunity to play around on the tracks in downtown Cary?? So we did! Dad was a kid again:) Every once-in-a-while our "tour guide" would mosey over to us to let us know that the train would be here soon. He was soooo worried that we'd get mashed like a bug if we didn't clear ourselves 100 yards from the tracks. Where's the fun in that????

But it did finally come!

Love this photo of the girl waiting anxiously for the train...

...and a reunion:)

He was also worried that we weren't far enough away, but that didn't stop us!

Photography Throwback! *** Day 1 ***

Ok, I was just trying to be clever with the title - give me a break! Yes, the past two weeks were a complete wash, and yesterday was too, so I'm going to try to make it up today! Last night, I was trying to clear some much needed space on my Mac, and decided to finally go through the 2010 Photowalk photos that I took this Summer. Luckily, I've been so busy since then, I haven't had a chance to put my special touches on them. So I did them last night! Each day this week, I'll show you some photos of each part of the photowalk!

We started the tour at the Page Walker Hotel in downtown Cary. I plan to take a lot of wonderful photos here in December when Audrey and Anson say "I do"!

The following photos are the garden/landscape area around the PWH.

Busy at work!

The Zinnias were so beautiful! They inspired me to plant my own - unfortunately, that didn't work out too well:(

Want to say a little shout out to my best friend Barb, and her family. The Lord blessed them with their little boy, early. He is beautiful and the Lord is already answering the many prayers coming His way for Cameron. I got the pleasure of meeting him the day after he was born and he is perfect! I never thought I'd say this, but I can't wait to hold him and I know his parents are wishing for that even more than I am! Please keep them all in your prayers:)

~The Avery Girls~

New, fun location! There's an old "farm" called Malcolm Blue Farm that Billy and I went to a Bluegrass festival at, a while back. Since then, I've wanted to do photos there, and the Avery girls were the perfect "victims". We all had a lot of fun!

The architectural scenery as background, was perfect!

I've already posted a couple of these on Facebook. One of them got a comment that Christina looked as young as her daughters - sooo true! Chris and I worked together for a couple years, and I knew she had two daughters, but didn't realize that her oldest was in 8th grade!

Her youngest, Anna:)

Her oldest, Charlotte:)

Love this photo! They're were great and followed my horrible directions so well! Thanks girls!!!
