This photograph is deeper than adorable. As he begins kindergarten, this little boy is beginning the path of life with a map. It is an indication that though there is a long road ahead of him, he will be successful!
This is NOT a blog that will illustrate how righteous and comfortable I am with my faith and relationship with God. Often, because of my own self-doubt, I am ignorant of how much He loves me. What I do know is, He is with me every step of the way on this learning experience...photography.
Billy informed me that this is the hole the groom's cake was modeled after at our rehearsal dinner. Amy K. did an awesome job!
My new friend Holly brought this tour to my attention a few weeks ago. I had just ordered my camera and it arrived just in time! The tour was a perfect opportunity for practice and I loved every minute of it! This precious little girl was wandering around the farmers' market with her Daddy. As I was taking a picture of the watermelons, she plopped herself down and posed for some adorable pictures.
The colors of this pictures are vibrant and inspirational to me...
Billy says I'm stuck on the notion of "depth of field". Perhaps I am, but I think it is a concept that I'm starting to get. This is at a little plaza that is a microcosm of So. Pines: quaint, simple and yet eloquent.
Again, I love the bright green!
This creepy, old building is the only one in So. Pines, that I know of, that is not renovated and perfect. As we came to this site, a guy from the group behind us asked if anyone wanted to go around to the back and into the building. I once read in a blog by a photographer I admire, that she would go anywhere for a good picture, so I took a chance and I'm glad I did...
I love that the "Antiques" sign is somewhat ironically balanced on a counter and a showcase that are abandoned. Apparently, years ago, the creepy, old building was a shoe factory or something similar. I'm sure that between then and now, it has had many names.
For some reason, during the whole tour, I found myself taking pictures of architectural features. This is by far my favorite, and once again, attached to the creepy, old building.
