~ The A Team's Wedding ~

Ok, so it's been a month an a half since this lovely couple got married, but I've been stalling on this post because there's so much to say (though I'll limit it;) ), I had to choose between so many good shots, and everybody has seem most, if not all, of these already!

Anyway, I've chosen my "favorite" three from each part of their wedding day. I use "favorite" loosely, because I really didn't have favorites - I loved them all...

I was truly honored and a little shocked when Audrey & Anson asked me to be their photographer - even more shocked when they asked my hubs to be the videographer, but it was absolutely perfect, because I was able to witness my oldest friend's family-only ceremony.

I met Audrey and her Mom at the Umstead where the bride was being pampered, getting her hair did, and make-up applied - all the while, I took about a million photos and enjoyed watching her preparation process. I kept waiting for the moment of nervousness, because I was a nervous wreck on my big day, but she kept her cool the whole time!

Love Audrey, love her Mom (who was also calm and collected)! I've always felt like part of their family, and I can't even explain how heart warming it was to be able to capture moments like this one. A day and a moment they had both dreamt about since Audrey was little:)

As soon as she put on her dress, I got nervous (that's a given if you know me at all), but she just twirled around with excitement! Sooo gorgeous!

We drank champagne and ate strawberries and waited to leave to go to the Page-Walker Hotel where Anson was waiting...

Another great moment - when Audrey's Dad saw her, he was blown away!

Their ceremony was held in the courtyard area behind the historical hotel/museum. It was dimly lit with strings of light, and so very romantic! They said their own vows, and like everything this couple does, it was authentic and perfect.

Sharing a kiss at the reception:)

I love this photo, because this was the point when they finally figured out how to cut the cheesecake and pie at the same time - hilarious! Also, I love all of the special touches at their wedding: Anson's brother officiated the wedding, the favors were honey and candles made by Audrey's grandfather, her bouquet and centerpieces were made by her grandmother, the cake and pie was made by their Moms, the wine by her Dad, and the beer by Anson. I'm certain I'm missing a ton of other special touches, but I know that I and the other guests could truly feel the significance of this day for the wonderful couple:)

Thanks Audrey & Anson!
