Fair and Fall Fun!

I LOVE Fall! I love the colors, the weather, and yes, even the smells! Right now, as I write this entry, my neighbors must have a fire going somewhere, because I can smell the wonderful smoke of wood burning! Ya'll know the real smell I'm talking about - the everything-is-fried smell of the State Fair!

Again, and I know I harp on this, but the Lord truly shows me that He is constantly with me by the beauty that I see through Him. My eyes are opened to His awesome deeds - every single day!

I love the deep red that you only see on a tree during the Fall...

An apple pie that I baked from scratch, for my sweetheart:)

I pass this scene everyday...The wooden gate surrounds a horse farm (including a zebra). One thing I do love about this area is the back roads - they're beautiful!

The North Carolina State Fair!!!

Click on the photo above for a better view - I love this photo! I just happened to look up - while fighting to get through the mob of people - and see this most perfect sign in the most perfect place. Unfortunately, it was getting dark, so the lighting is not great:(

At Gate 8, in the Village of Yesteryear - Smitty's - Love it!

Sister and brother looking at LIVE bees!

We always go in to the produce building to see the magnificent array of vegetation. That pumpkin is 800+ pounds!

The Dorton Arena

Some more colors I love...the Ferris Wheel at night :)

Of course, had to get some proof that I actually got to spend some quality time with my hubs. This is literally 2 seconds after he got his funnel cake - covered in powdered sugar;)

Wonder how much they spent to get their son ALL of these prizes???

This man comes to the fair every year. I don't know his name, but the shotguns he carves are gorgeous!

He wouldn't admit it, but do you notice how often I post a photo of Billy's artistic ability? He's a photographer at heart I think!

Ethan is 1 Year Old!

I'm still finding it hard to believe that Ethan is 1 year old! I wanted to post this entry in between his birthday and Halloween, since we did both themes. Even near his nap time and with a cast on, he's such a fun, smiley baby:)

Love his sweet, curly locks!

Ethan is going to be a monkey for Halloween:)

Why does this pumpkin have a face??

Audrey and Anson Sittin' In A Tree...

Audrey has been one of my best friends since 7th grade! I won't tell you how long that's been, but its been a long time! When she met Anson, her true, wonderful self came out. She lit up and she was a much happier person. That's how I knew they'd be here someday. They were engaged during a hike on a mountain - how adorable!

These were shot in Southern Pines on a horse farm and hay field. What a beautiful area!

Such a happy and playful couple, many of these shots were natural and again, adorable!

I don't have a favorite for their photos, because they all turn out perfect, but the one above just makes me smile back at them:)

When Audrey told me about this shot, I really wasn't sure. It made me nervous, because I've never done anything like it. They were the perfect couple to start with, because they did it about 10 times before I got a good shot!

They both went to NC State - (Go Wolfpack!!!) - so the bell tower was a must! The campus was the setting for the second half of these photos!

Anson is a Patriots fan - obviously. When I first met him he was watching a game, said two words to me, and the rest was shouting at the tv! Classic - since Audrey isn't a huge sports fan8) I think she's learning though!

Josh and Holly's Maternity Photos :)

The Lord has blessed both Billy and I with this wonderful couple! Holly and I hit it off right away when we both started attending Southern Pines United Methodist Church around the same time a couple of years ago. She actually helped me with my photography when I first started, because she invited me to the photo walk (one of my first blog posts). So of course, I was honored to do their maternity portraits!

Holly was about 3 weeks away from her due date when we took these photos. We waited so long because she was looking forward to Josh's return from overseas. Josh is in the army -- and I am also grateful to Josh for his service to our country!

We had so much fun doing these photos. I never realized how funny Josh was - we don't get to hang out with him often - but as you can tell he makes her laugh and they're just so darn cute together!

We took these at Weymouth Center in So. Pines. The gardens were in full bloom and beautiful!

I'm praying for a safe delivery of their little boy -- due on October 26th I believe.

The Terry Family :)

I'm a couple of weeks behind, but I'll just pick up from here and make this my post for last weekend :-/ I do what I can...Luckily, I'm not teaching anymore - I've made the final break, so I'll have a lot more time for my photography.

A couple of weeks ago, I traveled to Ellerbe, NC to the home of this family's grandparents' home. It was right in the middle of nowhere, and beautiful!

Brian is so proud of his Studebaker, and that was great, because it was a perfect backdrop for a lot of good photos.

There's nothing more precious than the relationship between daddy and son and mommy and daughter:)

On the left are the grandmother's Zinnias -- gorgeous!
