*Stella's 8 Months*

This is Stella and her Mommy! It's so awesome to have done Amanda's maternity, Stella's newborn, and now her 8 months photos. She is so adorable, playful and wiggly! After I left their house, I was going through my camera - getting an initial look. This one made me laugh out loud! They played like this all day!

What a moment...

Peek - a - boo!

So sweet!

Bluegrass Festival '10

In June, Billy and I saw a sign for a bluegrass festival in Aberdeen. I'm so glad Billy got off early that day and we went to this together. It was extremely hot, but the shade of the tree we sat under, the music, and the sites made going worth it!

This is a barn on the Malcolm Blue Farm

Old farm equipment makes me think of my Dad's family and Tennessee.

G had fun too!

Billy took this photo. He was being lazy, but I think it is such an awesome photo!

Brian and Gretchen's Maternity Portraits

We shot these photos at the historic Leak-Wall House in Rockingham. In a small area like the Sandhills, there's only a few gardens to choose from. When Gretchen asked me to do her maternity portraits, I was so excited to go somewhere new! This was a perfect place for memorable photos. Her and her husband live in the area, so I thought the location was fitting.

Brian and Gretchen are having a little girl ~ I love the name Sadie!

Strawberry Pickin' + Jam Makin'

On a Saturday morning we woke up early and went strawberry pickin' - of course, that included homemade strawberry ice cream at the stand, but more importantly, Mom passed down her frozen strawberry jam recipe to her three girls.

Sam was so proud of every big strawberry he picked!

Pierce picked with me...

Tzar is almost a teenager, but not too cool for photos - yet!

Mom, hard at work...It's a pretty tedious process.

It isn't hard to catch Cathy off guard...She's waiting for the jam process to be done!

~ Ethan's 6 Months ~

Ethan looks just like his Mommy...

I can't even tell you how happy Ethan is when he is with his Mommy and Daddy. His joy is contagious!

His sweet face is irresistible!

These photos may look redundant, but I was trying capture all of his happy faces. Ethan truly is the ideal child. He is absolutely content all of the time...

In a few of these shots he would be sitting on his own - mostly, and then he'd slowly start to tip over! Hilarious - mainly because he wasn't phased at all. He just kept smiling and watching everything around him.

Florida + January = Perfection!

While it was snowing here in NC, Billy and I took a vacation to Orlando, Florida. Mainly so Billy could attend a conference, but also to visit with friends. I spent a lot of time by myself, because everyone was working during the day, but it gave me an opportunity to go on some photographic tours. This one was at a winery about 30 minutes out of Orlando. The wine was wonderful and so was the scenery. Of course, the winery itself was stucco.

I was there in perfect time for the sunset!

Billy took me on a tour of where Kirk works. Apparently, there's a creek that feeds into the Everglades on the property of the golf course. The canoes and chairs under the shade [above] were so neat and colorful to me!

Stone and Pilot Mountain

Billy rarely gets to take a vacation, so I love when we use our time wisely! This was in April and God gave us an unbelievable day to enjoy. Behind this historic farm, there is a large side of the mountain that people can climb. First, we hiked up the path on Stone Mountain to get to the waterfalls. Unfortunately, none of those photos were artistic, because by the time we got there, we were worn out!

Then, we went around the path of Pilot Mountain. The mountain towered over these adorable yellow flowers, but I love the representation of all the hidden treasures that must be there.

Billy actually captured this photo. I had just finished my attempt, and he took only two. His were better because the sky behind the flowers bring so much color to the photo.

Azalea Garden with Dad

I've started going to my Dad's photography club with him every once in a while. I enjoy it mostly because I learn so much from the guys that lead it, but also because I get to spend quality time with my dad. We both have an interest in photography and I love that this give us such a great opportunity.

These photos were taken at the Azalea Gardens in Raleigh - Behind the WRAL building. I've lived in the Raleigh area for 24 years, and didn't know they were there. We went at the perfect time, when all of the Azaleas were in bloom and beautiful!

I can't remember what type of rose this was, but I had to hold it up because it faces down. I love the vibrancy the leaves bring and the contrast they cause with the almost dull flower itself.

I believe this bloom that reminds me of a hydrangea, is called a snowball - how appropriate. Beautiful! If you can't tell, these are in the background of the photo below.

This fountain is beautiful and I was able to practice the motion of water.

I'm saving this spot for Katie's photos....

~Audrey's Debut~

Audrey is one of my many supporters. She always asks me "what's next, what are my plans for my photography, why am I not thinking [business] smarter" (she seems to say)...My conclusion is this: she believes in me! She sees the passion in me and knows I'll make it some day... :)

I had had these images in my head for a while and needed to get them out and in my camera...Audrey was a perfect model, because she was so willing to do everything I asked! So much fun that day...Cars were driving through this intersection (the only one in the township) and probably thought we were professionals ;)

Such patience! As I recall, this day was windy, rainy and on the verge of sleeting...we took these in a township near Morrisville. If she reads this blog, she'll correct me, but its an itty bitty township and the photos you see here are what it consists of!

What can I say? I love this girl and have since 7th grade!

Logan's Basketball Game

Kelly asked me to take pictures of her son's basketball game. Her son attends West End and they were playing against our school - Southern Middle. I'm admittedly not the best at events like this, but I got a few candids that I liked!

The boys were getting tired...

He made this shot!

Anticipation at it's best!

They beat Southern Middle by one point!
